A DIFF system (Deck Integrated Fire Fighting) is an effective fire suppression system that is normally the primary firefighting system on a helideck.
The non-popup nozzle design is easily to install on new an existing decks. The skid will be placed in areas close to the deck.

DiFFS Spray Nozzle

The K3GS series of spray nozzles are designed to be used as part of a Deck Integrated Fire Fighting System (DIFFS). An array of these nozzles installed on a helipad/helideck provides for an effective spray pattern and distribution covering the whole of the deck surface - throughout a range of weather conditions. These spray nozzles have been specifically designed to be of simple construction – having orifices for both horizontal and vertical flow patterns.

DIFFS Nozzle

The K3GS series of spray nozzles are designed to be used as part of a Deck Integrated Fire Fighting System (DIFFS).

An array of these nozzles installed on a helipad/helideck provides for an effective spray pattern and distribution covering the whole of the deck surface - throughout a range of weather conditions.

These spray nozzles have been specifically designed to be of simple construction – having orifices for both horizontal and vertical flow patterns. The nozzles do not ‘pop up’ – instead, the foam/water discharges from a fixed, ultra-low profile position. The precise number and layout of nozzles are dependent on the specifics of  helipad / helideck type, “D” value of the deck, flow rate of the nozzle and its coverage.

As required by the regulatory standards, there will be sufficient overlap of the horizontal flow pattern components when all the nozzles are discharging during system operation. Because the nozzle is not of the ‘pop up’ type, the danger of a mechanical malfunction is not possible. Even if there is a blocked flow – e.g. due to a heavy object on top of the nozzle – the foam/water will still spray out from the horizontal orifices of the nozzle.
