Deck Integrated Fire Fighting System

DrillSafe is a wired and wireless gas detection system which can be used for various gas monitoring needs.

DiFFS is used for helideck/helipads for fire suppression due to a helicopter crash or fuel leakage. It is one of its kind with Non Pop-up nozzle concept and certified by UL, ABS and CAAI.

MACS is self-contained skid for normally unmanned installations which is used as water/foam source for DiFFS.

Heliweb provides maintenance free solution for perimeter safety nets for helidecks. The complete nets are manufactured using SS-316 wires and frames and certified by ABS.

DiFFS - Deck Integrated Fire Fighting System


DiFFS system is primarily used to protect helicopter landing areas. Based on the system configuration, DiFFS can be set to operate automatically or manually. On system activation; a valve operates allowing water to flow through a water turbine foam pump or inline inductor thereby discharging a correct admixture of foam/water solution (i.e. 1% or 3%) through a series of nozzles installed on the helideck providing an effective spray distribution covering the entire deck surface. System is in compliance with standards such as ICAO, CAP-437, NORSOK, NMD.

DIFFS NOZZLE


K3GS and SMT series nozzles are simple constructed nozzle that has orifices drilled for horizontal and vertical flow components. The nozzle does not pop-up on the deck and discharges foam from its fixed position. The precise number and layout of nozzles are dependent on the specific Helideck type, the “D” value of the deck, the flow rate of the nozzle and its coverage. As required by the standards, rules there will be sufficient overlap of the horizontal flow components when all the nozzles are discharging when the system is in operation.

Since the nozzle is not a pop-up; the condition of a blocked nozzle is not prevalent (as required in CAP-437 regulations).  However if there is a blocked flow (due to a heavy object resting on the nozzle); the foam will leak out from the side holes of the nozzle
